The higher education system in the Netherlands is made up primarily three different types of institution, each with a unique offering to an international student. They are

- Postgraduate courses.
- Sandwich courses: 4 year courses with one year industry placement
- First degree courses of 3-4 years duration.
- Diplomas and vocational courses of 1-2 years with the Vocational and Technical Education Councils conferring the degree certificate.
- Masters for 1 or 2 years
- IELTS, TOEFL, PTE scores or any equivalent as a proof of English Proficiency
- IELTS Waiver is available for eligible candidates
- Diploma programs: Overall band score of 5.0
- Bachelor’s Degree: Overall band score of 6.0

Tuition Fees: 6000 Euro to 8000 Euro per year (Depending on the program)
Approximately €800-1,100 a month for a student but can vary depending on the life style
International students who obtain a bachelor’s or master’s degree can spend a period of up to 12 months to find a job as a highly skilled migrant. Called the ‘search year’, this is the time given to graduates to look for a suitable job in the Dutch market.
English Requirement: IELTS not mandatory
- Permitted to take up full-time work from June to August, or work part time for a maximum of 10 hours a week.
